Newsflash 4/7/19

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Parental and Stakeholder Support: We continue to be very grateful to those individuals and companies who partner with us on various projects. Specific thanks goes to:

  • Midlands Metals on their sponsorship of rugby jerseys.
  • Revd Sibanda who donated tiles, tile-on and grout towards the Parents Assembly project to retile some areas in hostel.

Parents Assembly Committee Challenge: The Parents Assembly Committee is asking for more parents to come on board with the retiling project. Tiles have been reserved at the local supplier – Tile and Carpet – for this project. 6 boxes of tiles are required per room, plus Tile-On and grout. Those interested in contributing towards this project – with whatever sized contribution, are to please liaise with PAC Members – Mrs P Gazi 0772 308 922, Mr A Mpepu 0772 811 317, or any other PAC member – contact details are on the MCC Website.

Resource Centre Update: Below is a photograph of the site for the Resource Centre which was dedicated at the outset of the adoption of this project by parents. The Parents Assembly Committee recently revisited the site as well as inspected the materials which have been bought so far. The vision is to see progress made with the foundations as this year progresses. We thank you, the parent body, for your continued commitment to this project and look forward to watching this dream become a reality.

Mid Year Examinations: Are under way. Note that during this time, day scholars are not required to come to school on the days that they do not have examinations. However, if coming to school – day scholars are always expected to be at school by 7:20am. If a day scholar is to leave school at a time other than between 1-2pm or after 3:30pm, a gate pass is needed. Note that those day scholars not collected by 4pm should then be found studying in the Library Wing until collection.

Reflection: “Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls—Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” Habakkuk 3:17-18
