Newsflash 8/12/21

Dear Parents and Guardians,

End of Year Examinations: 

End of Year Examinations will resume and run on Thursday 9 December and Friday 10 December for all Form 1s, 2s & 3s and some Lower 6 pupils. Timetables and guidelines have been sent to parents and guardians’ emails addresses, and posted on the MCC Eagles’ Virtual Noticeboard for students. 

ZIMSEC Examinations:

ZIMSEC Shona and Ndebele examinations will run on Thursday 16 December 2021 and Tuesday 4 January 2022. Candidates are expected to be at the venue 30 minutes before the scheduled time dressed in full school uniform.

Form 1 Parents Seminar:

A reminder to all Form 1 parents to please join us at 6pm on Thursday 9 December for a special hour long parenting seminar designed just for you. Please refer to your emails for further details and the Zoom meeting link. 

Form 2 Forum:

This important meeting for ALL Form 2 parents with their children will take place on Thursday 16 December at 6pm. Note that attendance by all Form 2s and their parents is expected as discussion will be focused around subject pathways in relation to ‘O’ Level examinations. The agenda and Zoom meeting link will be sent to all Form 2 parents this week. 

Speech Day 2021:

Hearty congratulations to all prize winners and newly appointed office bearers. The full recording of Speech Day will be made available on our Midlands Christian Group of Schools YouTube channel soon. We will advise when it has been loaded for your viewing. We also expect the official photographs to arrive this week.

Congratulations:

To Karl Makahamadze and Sharon Marangwanda who took part in the national debate trials this past weekend hosted by the National Debate Association in conjunction with the Royal Pact Debate Academy. Competently debating their way through the many gruelling rounds, these two Eagles excelled and were selected into the national debate team! We also celebrate Nkosilathi Magazi who made the national U17 soccer team and Hannah Pombo who made the U18 national netball team who were due to take part in the Region 5 Youth Games before their tours were called off.
