Thank you: Our sincere thanks to all who joined us for the Parents Assembly AGM and the Term One fees meeting. Your commitment to engagement is sincerely appreciated. To those who joined us for the parenting seminar, we pray that you were enriched!

Exeat Weekend: We are still awaiting a response from the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education regarding our application. We are hopeful that a green light will soon be granted in the coming week so that the much deserved traditional mid-term break can still go ahead. Provisionally, be advised that school will end on Thursday 20 February at 12pm and boarders go home til either Sunday or Monday (23 or 24 February) depending on approval outcome. Please take note that Friday 21 February is a public holiday anyway.

Please note that there are however, national cricket and boys tennis trials over this weekend which will affect some of our students. 

School Bus Service for the Long Weekend: Our school buses will be available to ferry pupils to and from Harare.

Tickets are issued on confirmation of payment on a first-come-first served basis. Payment for tickets must be made by Monday 17 February with the proof of payment being sent to admin@mcc.ac.zw and bursar@mcc.ac.zw – please reference your payment “Bus”. Note that tickets must be confirmed through admin@mcc.ac.zw and that places are limited.

Cost $380 one way, $760 return. 

Hwange and Victoria Falls Parents are to please work with the area coordinator – Mrs Machipisa (0772372801) to secure your child’s seat on this bus service. Cost – $780 return. 

Senatical Portal: We ask you regularly take time to check on your child’s progress as reflected in Senatical. Your child’s ongoing academic performance as well as credits and demerits are available for you to check on at any time. We need you as parents to help with ‘positive tension’ by holding your children accountable for their performance. The Academics Department is available to you for any direct queries relating to what you find on this platform. They can be reached on academics@mcc.ac.zw . Congratulations: To Fadzai Chimbira, Tinotenda Nyawasha, Charlotte Magiya, Tatenda Gutura, Rumbidzaishe Chihumelah, Laura Dzawo, Unouyashe Mukwewa, William Kasitomo, Adolph Dube, Nigel Sibanda, Lashel Murairwa, Michael Madzimure, Tapiwa Knight, Vusani Ntuli and Leeroy Tapfumaneyi who were all selected into the ATS volleyball teams for their respective age groups. Special mention of Unouyashe Mukwewa who received an individual award for “Best U16 Receiver” and Tapiwa Knight for “Best Server”. 

Congratulations: To Ryan Napata, Shumirai Mudima and Nkosinhle Gwizi who were selected into the CHISZ U19 Boys Basketball team. Congratulations also goes to the team as a whole who were awarded a shield for good sportsmanship. 

Congratulations: To Eden Manyika who placed 6th and Passmore Mabukwa who placed 11th at the Arundel Interschools Cross Country meet. We wish the team all the best as they compete at Lomagundi this weekend. 

Thank you: To all of our pupils who wore something orange with their uniform on Tuesday in support of KIDZCAN. We urge you as our parents to join with us and make a contribution to KIDZCAN Zimbabwe to stand together with Zimbabwean kids who are battling cancer. Ecocash Merchant Code for KIDZCAN is 87391.
