Newsflash 14/7/21

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Virtual Consultation for Form 1s: We continue with appointments today and tomorrow. Thank you to all who have kept their appointment times.

Virtual Consultation for Form 4s: Will take place on Wednesday 21 July and Thursday 22 July. Google Meet invitations will be sent out to Form 4 parents by the end of this week from our IT Department. Form 4 parents, please look out for yours and clear your schedule to join us. Due to the complexity of programming dynamics for this type of consultation, we ask that you make yourself available for your allocated time. Note that your child is expected to join you in the consultation meetings.

Revision and Catch-Up Days: On Wednesday 21 July and Thursday 22 July there will be no virtual lessons. Pupils are to use these days for Mid-Year/Mock Examination preparations. These examinations are scheduled to run between 5 August and 20 August and will be run either virtually or physically dependent on direction from government on physical school opening closer to the time. Where a pupil has outstanding work for this current assessment period, they may make use of 21-22 July to catch up.

National Institute of the Allied Arts Speech and Drama Festival: We are delighted to have a strong representation in this year’s NIAA virtual Speech and Drama Festival. Follow our Facebook Page – Midlands Christian College Eagles – to see the performances as they are released over these next few weeks. So far we have enjoyed performances from Karl Makahamadze for his Shakespearean Sonnet in the senior section, and Vanessa Mncube and Zandile Sibanda in the Senior Poetry section.

Follow these links to Facebook to view their performances.
