Academic Monitoring:

We continue to ask day scholar parents to insist on seeing and signing homework diaries as part of the academic monitoring and accountability process. Pupils are also being set research tasks as homework – but we ask you as parents to continue to monitor your child‘s gadget usage to ensure it is being used meaningfully for these tasks. Hostel Parents and duty staff do this for boarders on a daily basis.

Additional monitoring and accountability for children who are struggling academically is done through Special Report. Our Academic teams have identified students who are currently on Special Report. Affected day scholar parents are also asked to check and sign this document daily. Hostel Parents and duty staff do this for boarders. A reminder for those parents who have been sent communication regarding lost books for their child to please urgently attend to this. Where a payment has been made for replacement purchase, please be sure to notify us on to assist with speedy clearance of your child. A reminder that until all lost book issues are resolved, your child will not receive textbooks for all subjects.

Celebrating as ‘Family‘:

We continue to celebrate our Eagle, Elizabeth Maphosa, being the top student in Zimbabwe in the June 2023 examination session in IGCSE Combined Science. Her Shadow Group bought and enjoyed a special cake with her! All pupils are ‘personally known’ by one of our teachers through our Shadow Groups. Pupils choose teachers who they relate well with and together with other pupils who have chosen the same teacher, have opportunity to grow, develop and bond together.
