Dear Parents and Guardians, 

Cambridge Top Award Winners: We celebrate the successes of our pupils and staff from the 2022 CIE Examination session:

Jessica Manhambo and Leon Maposa – Top in Zimbabwe for Combined Science – IGCSE – June 2022. Thank you and congratulations to their teachers – Mrs Makoni, Mrs Muzondo and Mrs Chakamanga. 

Rachel Tivavenge – Top In Zimbabwe for Business – AS Level – November 2022. Thank you and congratulations to her teacher – Mrs Mhangami. 

Celebrate with us: Congratulations to Rutendo Chidawanyika who placed 1st in the Chinese Talent Show competition for high schools. She won herself a lovely cash prize. Congratulations also goes to Miss M. Maibvisira for receiving the “Outstanding Instructor Award” too!

Eagle Support: Please be advised of the compulsory support fixtures for our pupils for 1st team games this term:

We continue to encourage you to join our Eagle Support – both for home and away games. Please remember to make yourself known to the teacher in charge at the fixture so we can allocate house points to your child’s house for your attendance of the activity. 

Boarder Reminders: Weekend signing out requests are to be received by Wednesday of the week concerned. The request should be in the form of a signed letter sent to admin@mcc.ac.zw for authorisation. A reminder that students are not to miss school commitments. Please refer to the attached school calendar for guidance. A reminder too, that in general, signing out should only happen on fixture free weekends. Please note that the mid term fixture free (17/6) is a compulsory signing out weekend. 

Anti-Bullying Seminar for Parents: We would like to invite our Gweru-based parents to an Anti-Bullying counselling seminar conducted by a team from Youth for Christ Zimbabwe and hosted by Midlands Christian School.  

Date: Tuesday 23 May 2023

Time: 5:00 – 5:30pm Teas will be served

5:30pm – 7:00pm +/- Seminar will take place

Venue: School Hall

Carpark: MCC or MCS Carpark
