Newsflash 2/12/19

Dear Parents and Guardians,

End of Term Arrangements: A reminder that Lower 6s are free to leave for the holidays from 1pm on Tuesday 3 December. Stewards, however, will be available from 1pm on Wednesday 4 December.

Consultation Day for all Form 1, 2 & 3 will take place in the Upper Quad on Wednesday 4 December between 8am and 1pm. Please start at the information desk in the quad to collect your child’s consultation slip and the room allocations for teachers.

Form 2 parents are reminded to plan their consultation times around the compulsory Form 2 Forum which starts at 9:45am in the Pavilion. The Form 2 Forum should be finished at 11:15am.

Term 3 Reports: Are done for all Form 1, 2 & 3 pupils this term. These reports can be accessed through the parent portal on the Senatical platform. We urge you to log in and properly connect with your child’s attainment, and teachers’ comments for this past term. We also ask that you go through the reports with your child/children. Note that reports will be available from 2pm on Tuesday 3 December. Please note that we only print reports for those who request us to do so. Requests should be received on admin@mcc.ac.zw by lunch time on Tuesday 3 December, and then can be signed for from the Front Office from 9am on Wednesday 4 December.

Fee Statements: Will be sent out via email during the course of this week. For any queries, please contact the Bursars’ Department on bursar@mcc.ac.zw

Public Examination Certificates: Note that public examination certificates must be signed for from the front office, either by the examination candidate themselves, or by the parent or guardian. We have quite a few certificates in our archives. Please make every effort to collect all outstanding certificates from us as we close this year. We have all Cambridge certificates, inclusive of the June 2019 examination session as well as HSK, French, Music and ICDL  certificates. If you are not coming in person, then you will need to send a signed letter authorising us to release the certificate/s to your designated collector. Remember that these are very important documents.

2017 Magazines: Have arrived and will be issued to pupils tomorrow. A reminder that it is one magazine per family, usually issued to the oldest child in the family who is still in the system. We thank you for your patience and hope that you will enjoy this special 30th anniversary edition. As indicated there have been production challenges with the 2018 magazine which will see its release in first term next year, with the 2019 magazine soon to follow. For those who are no longer in school, magazines can be signed for from the Front Office.

Speech Day Photographs: Have been issued to pupils who are in school. Please check with your child if you paid for photographs. All unissued photographs are ready for collection from the Front Office. Note that you will need to sign for them upon collection.

Reflection:

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.” Isaiah 9:6-7
