A reminder to please be sure to connect with your child this weekend specifically on their academic performance. A collective effort is needed on this front to ensure the success of the individual. For any concerns pertaining to your child’s academic performance, please contact the Academics Director on or  the Deputy Head in charge of Academics on

Sports Programme: Note that there will be some changes to our sports programme after Interhouse Athletics on Saturday 29 February – an event to which you are all invited.

All over-age Form 3 pupils, Form 4s, Lower 6s and Upper 6s are expected to participate in the compulsory swimming programme which will culminate in the Senior Interhouse Swimming Gala event on Tuesday 31 March. As such, if you have a child in the mentioned forms, please ensure that they have a school swimming costume. Participation in swimming is important to us and the minimum level of swimming that we expect of all MCC pupils is to be able swim to save their own lives.

Some pre-season training will also commence for Winter Sports. Note that gum guards are a compulsory part of protective wear for rugby and hockey.

Partnership Appeals: As we start our preparations for sports next term, we are looking for parents and companies that would like to partner in sponsorship for first team kits as follows:

Girls Basketball

Girls and/or Boys Hockey

Girls and/or Boys Volleyball

We are also asking for any parents who may have associations with transportation companies for the donation of tarpaulins that are still in reasonable condition for use as covers for our cricket wickets.

Please engage directly with the Deputy Head in charge of Extra Mural Activities on on these or any other areas you may be interested in partnering with us in.

Community Outreach: We salute our pupils on their commitment to community outreach. Social Welfare Club surpassed their target to sponsor school fees for 50 underprivileged pupils this term. Through pupil sacrifice and generosity, they are able to sponsor 100 children for this term!

Both Social Welfare Club and Interact Club are on a drive now to garner donations of stationery, sanitary wear, toiletries and groceries as they continue to support people in need in our community and as Interact Club prepares to visit the Women’s Section at WhaWha prison. We invite you as parents to partner with us. Donations can be surrendered to the school office.

“And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’” Matthew 25:40 (NKJV)
