Newsflash 20/6/18

Dear Parents and Guardians, 

Assessment 3 Results – Will be accessible on the Senatical platform from Thursday 21/6. Please be sure to log in and view your child’s latest assessment results and then engage with your child about them over the weekend.  Senatical allows you to monitor progress in ‘real time’. We encourage you to frequently log in to check on your child’s progress. 

Exeat Weekend – Starts at 11:50am on Thursday 21 June. Lessons resume on Tuesday 26 June. Please note that boarders returning to hostel may only do so from 12noon on Monday 25 June. Those who arrive before this time will be required to wait at main gate until 12noon. Thank you for your cooperation in this area. 

Exeat Weekend Buses – For those who have received confirmation from the school on bus bookings, please take note of the following:

Harare – Pupils will arrive at Prince Edward School for collection from 5:15pm on Thursday 21 June. Please note that staff members will only be on hand until 5:50pm so please be prompt in collecting your child. Pupils are to be back at Prince Edward School by 11:30am on Monday 25 June. Note that the bus will not wait for pupils who are late. Please also note that baggage allowance is one bag per person the size of the school sports bag.

Bulawayo-Hwange-Victoria Falls – Bulawayo drop off is at KFC at 9:30am, Hwange Drop Off is at the Engen Garage at around 2:30pm, and Victoria Falls drop off is at Cresta Sprayview at around 4:30pm. Please liaise directly with your children as the trip progresses. Pupils are to be back at Cresta Sprayview by 6:45am on Monday 25 June. Please also note that baggage allowance is one bag per person the size of the school sports bag.

Triangle – Pupils will arrive at Triangle Country Club at about 2:30pm. Please liaise directly with your children as the trip progresses. Pupils are to be back at Triangle Country Club by 10:15am on Monday 25 June. Please also note that baggage allowance is one bag per person the size of the school sports bag.

Parenting SeminarPlease note that this seminar which was advertised for 21 June will be organised for another date.

  • The 1st Team Netball girls who won the SWIFTS Tournament at SEC this past weekend.

A reminder about the new end of term programme:

  • Thursday 26 July – Term ends at 1pm  for Form 1, 2 & 3 pupils.
  • Friday 27 July – Consultation for all Form 4, L6 & U6 pupils after which time they may leave for the holidays.
  • Third term will now start on Tuesday 4 September.
  • Revision Holiday School for public examination candidates from Form 3 to Upper 6 will take place from 15 – 28 August.

  • Tue 26/6 – Thurs 28/6 – Allied Arts Speech & Drama Festival – Midlands Chapter @ MCC – 8:30am – 4pm . We invite you to come along and enjoy the variety of performances during this Festival. Please see the attached overview programme for next week.
