Dear Parents and Guardians,
Global Leadership Summit Feedback:
We thank Global Leadership Summit Zimbabwe for allowing us and our pupils this incredible opportunity for profound input and impact.
Leon Maposa was recognised by the Summit Coordinators as showing outstanding potential through his active involvement and insightful comments. We are excited to be developing future leaders!
The Pupils Give Feedback:
“When I first attended the Global Leadership Summit, I was a timed and insecure girl. But, I left anew! DeVon Franklin (my favourite speaker) made me understand that my difference is my destiny, my difference is my power! I now know that my difference has a purpose, and that is to make a difference!” – Tinovimba Manjengwa
“I was touched when my favourite speaker, DeVon Franklin, talked about destiny. The path to success is very narrow which is why very few find it. God sets this path onto your map of life, and once you find your purpose, you would have uncovered the narrow path to your destiny!” – Simbarashe Taziwa
“This was my first time to attend the Global Leadership Summit and I believe it entirely changed my life as I learnt a lot of new leadership traits that I hope to implement in my life. It’s also important to be different because, ‘your destiny lies in your difference’.” – Karl Makahamadze
“It was my first time attending such an event and I was exhilarated to be part of something like this as I am a very passionate leader.
My first lesson from this was that everyone benefits when a leader gets better. Me improving as a leader could help whoever I am leading to benefit from my improvement. I also learned to ‘GETMO’, which means Good Enough to Move On, and the value of being honest and full of integrity. I can’t wait for GLS2020!” – Leon Maposa
Junior Invitational Gala:
As indicated previously, we look forward to hosting Gateway, Petra and Goldridge for our Invitational Gala on Saturday 23 November. Please note that this is a COMPULSORY event for pupils. Pupils are to be at the swimming pool by 8:30am and are free to go home at the end of the event – approximately 1pm.
End of Term:
Please take note of the following:
Lessons for all Form 1, 2, 3 and Lower 6 pupils end on Tuesday 3 December at 1pm, after which time Lower 6s are free to leave for the holidays.
Parents of Form 1, 2 and 3 pupils are expected to attend Consultation Day on Wednesday 4 December between 8am and 1pm. Form 2 Forum will also be held on this day at 9:45am in the Pavilion. Note that after these events, pupils are free to leave for the holidays. All boarders are to have left hostel by 5pm at the latest on Wednesday 4 December. Note that there is no end of term bus as all pupils have to take all belongings home over these holidays.
Please note that a major breakdown with our printers has contributed to the delay in release of school magazines. The target which is currently being worked on is to have the 2017 magazine distributed to pupils as they leave for the holidays and the 2018 magazines available when they return next year. We sincerely apologise for this unexpected delay.
“Laying your life down in tender surrender before the Lord will bring life, prosperity, and honour as your reword.”
