Newsflash 23/2/24

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Parent Appreciation:

A huge ‘thank you’ and well done to all who joined us last week for the parenting seminar and the Parents Assembly AGM. We have had so much positive feedback and trust that you were both enriched and informed. Partnership between you as parents and us as the school in educating and raising this generation is key. We continue to encourage open engagement.

Academic Monitoring:

The first assessment period for this year has just ended with our Formal Assembly taking place next week. This is a time that we recognise high achievers and significant progress makers, particularly on the academic front.

You as a parent are able to continuously monitor your child’s assigned work and their progress through the Senatical Parents Portal –https://app.senatical.com/G01/

All parents have a unique log in. Parents who have joined us this year have been sent their information via email. For any assistance with accessing this platform or confirming/resetting passwords please contact us on senatical@mcc.ac.zw

Father-Son Camp:

Note that this event has been postponed to Term 2. New details to be supplied in due course. We strongly encourage all of our fathers with sons in the College to prepare to attend this invaluable camp.

Day Scholar Car Park Congestion:

Day Scholar Parents are reminded to make use of parking bays and to only ‘stop and drop’ by the locker area. Extra security personnel will be on hand to help supervise traffic flow and we ask for your cooperation in this area. Please be reminded that high school pupils may not be dropped off at the MCS car park.

Music Soiree – Friday 23 February:

This will take place between 6:15pm and 8:30pm in the school hall this evening. Day scholar pupils attending should do so in uniform. Parents are welcome. Drinks and snacks will be on sale.

Interhouse Athletics – Saturday 24 February:

This is a compulsory event for all pupils. Pupils are to be at school at 7am and can go home at the end of the event – 4:30pm. Food and drinks will be on sale. Day scholars are to take care of their food and refreshments for the day. We encourage you as parents to come out in strong support of your child’s house. Parents Assembly has sublimated supporter golf shirts on sale at $35 each – please visit the school reception Friday lunch time or the PA stand on Saturday.
