Dear Parents and Guardians

Cambridge Examination Registration:

Please be reminded that May-June Cambridge examination registration is now under way. The deadline for registration and payments is 2 February.

Parent Meetings – Attendance is expected:

There will be parent meetings held on Thursday the 15 of February. The programme shall be as follows:

  • Parenting Seminar (0900-1030am)
  • Tea (1030-1100am)
  • Parents Assembly AGM (1100-1230pm)
  • School Ends (1300pm)

NB. Parental attendance is Expected. Lessons will resume on Tuesday 20 February. More details to follow.

Careers:

On Wednesday 24 January, our Upper Sixes had a careers session with the Die Deutshe Schule Harare. This institution offers services in teaching the German language for prospective students who would like to study in Germany. Its mission at MCC was to present the opportunities that are available in Germany to assist our students in making decisions for their future.

Dress Code:

Please note that only girls are permitted to have piercings – specifically ear piercings. Note that any other piercings are not permitted and pupils with these will need to remove them.

Interhouse Cross Country Results:

1st- Crown – 45.20 points

2nd Martial – 41.44 points

3rd Bateleur – 40.31 points

Form One Camp – Victoria Falls:

Our Form One class returned from their Orientation Camp in Victoria Falls on Friday the 20th of February. It was a great experience and introduction into High School for our Eagles and they had lots to say about the experience.

Here are a few highlights from their reports:

  • Aamante Chipatiso – “Camp was a fun and exciting experience. I learnt a lot about college life and we were groomed to become responsible citizens as our school says.”
  • Ruby Mhaka – “We formed bonds with one another through various activities we had to do in our groups like the skits. I also learnt about how to manage my time and to always be on time.”
  • Ruva Nyamukondiwa – “Our teachers and alumni took time to explain to us about the different aspects of College life, who we are, what we believe as Eagles and respect.”
