Dear Parents and Guardians,

 

Examination Registration Reminder – CIE Oct-Nov 2024:

A reminder that the deadline for registration and payment for CIE October-November examinations is 5 July 2024. If you have not received a scanned copy of your child’s registration form please contact our Exams Department. If you have a child in Form 2, 3, 4, Lower 6 and Upper 6 – this message applies to you.

Please note that for subjects written in this 2024 May-June examination session, registration will take place after publication of results which will happen on 13 August.

 

Harare Golf Day:

Registration of teams is open for golf at Chapman Golf Club on Friday 12 July. USD50 per player – USD200 per team. For those who may wish to partner with us for this event in terms of advertising and marketing – please let us know!

 

Parenting Seminar:

Invitation is given to you to attend a Parenting Seminar being run by Mr Tim Middleton, the CEO of the Association of Trust Schools to which we belong. The seminar will take place on Thursday 27 June at 5:30pm in the MCGS Hall.

 

Mid-year Exams

Please check the parents ‘WhatsApp’ chat group for the mid-year examinations timetable which will be sent tomorrow Friday the 28th of June 2024 .

 

Mid-year examinations program:

 

Week beginning Monday 1st July 2024:

All students are expected to come to school daily whether they are writing examinations or not.

 

Week beginning 8th July 2024

1. Students may not come to school on a day which they do not have an examination.

 

2. Day scholars are to be collected at 3.30pm unless they have an afternoon examination which ends after that time.

 

Stationery

Every student is expected to be having his/her own stationery in a transparent pencil case. The stationery should include at least 2 blue or black pens, HB pencil, ruler, eraser and a pencil sharpener. Calculators and mathematical sets must be brought to the exam room for relevant subjects .

 

NB-

No sharing of stationery will be allowed during examinations.

 

Harare Dinner:

We would like to thank our parents, pupils, alumni and various stakeholders who supported us at the PAC Fundraising Dinner held at the Rainbow Towers Hotel in Harare on Saturday the 22nd of June. We are humbled by your generosity and continuous support as we seek to develop a modern learning environment through the construction of the Resource Centre. We would also like to thank the Parents Assembly Committee and various members of staff for organising this event and making it a success. Special thanks go to our guest of honour, Mr Peace Wutawunashe, and our hosts, Mr Curtly Gwindi and Ms Melinda Msutu.

We would like to congratulate the following for their selection into the ATS CHISZ Soccer Team that is set to tour the UK in December this year: Tinotenda Muchimwe, Wyne Kwanisai & Tinotenda Musiiwa..

 

2023 Cambridge Awards Ceremony

Congratulations to our Eagle Elizabeth Maphosa who received an award at the Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards Ceremony in Harare on the 13th of June. She was invited to this event after having achieved Top in Zimbabwe in IGCSE Combined Sciences for the May/June 2023 examination session. We would also like to acknowledge our former pupil Tendai Sithole who also received an award for High Achievement in AS Level Biblical Studies in the May/June 2023 examination session.
