Newsflash 6/2/2020

Dear Parents and Guardians, 

PAC AGM and Term 1 Fees Meetings – As indicated, these will be held at 11am on Saturday 8 February. Please find attached the minutes from last year’s AGM as well as the agenda for this year’s meeting. Please note that there will also be a fees meeting. Parents are encouraged to attend this important time of engagement. 

Parenting Seminar – “The joy, challenge and responsibility of parenting God’s children” – Sean Moore – ACSI Southern Africa Director. Invitation is extended to all interested members of our institution and of the public – Tuesday 11 February 6pm – MCGS Hall. There is no charge for this event. 

Examination Registration and Fee Payment Deadline for all Cambridge and HSK April – June examinations – is tomorrow, Friday 7 February. 

Exeat Weekend – We still await official feedback on our exeat weekend application. 

Return of Important Documents – We ask for your cooperation in this area with the return of the 2020 Indemnity Forms and the ICT Policy Documents. Without the return of the signed ICT Policy your child’s access to their device is restricted and learning programmes may be negatively affected. 

Tennis Congratulations – To Karl Makahamadze and Deon Kunjani who were selected into the Southern Region Tennis Team this past weekend. We wish them all the best as they proceed to national trials in a few weeks time. 

We are proud of our girls who took part in the national trails last weekend. In the A Section Daisy Mwenga placed 10th in the country. In the B section Tanatswa Mlauzi’s overall position was 6th and Rutendo Muswera was 8th. Well done, ladies. 

Boys Basketball Congratulations – To Tafadzwa Mudiwa and David Guzha on their selection into the CHISZ U17 Boys Basketball team! 

Athletics Congratulations – Our school team came first in the Zonal stage of the NASH competitions with 26 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 4 bronze medals. 

Chess Congratulations – The following people shone in the Chess Zonals – Ashleigh Tapfumaneyi- 1st in the 14s and Under; Chloe Mazonde – 1st in the 14s and Under; Kerster Kabudura – 3rd in the 16s and Under, Russell Mupanda – 1st in the 20s and Under category.
