Dear Parents and Guardians,

Harare Dinner

A reminder of this exciting upcoming event on the 22nd of June. Tickets are still on sale – USD50 per adult and USD30 per school child. Payments can be made directly to the school and referenced PA Dinner – funds will then be forwarded on to the Parents Assembly. Our school band will form part of the entertainment for the evening and we look forward to welcoming our exciting Guest of Honour. We look forward to good support – especially from our Harare-based parents.

Harare Golf Day

Registration of teams is open for golf at Chapman Golf Club on Friday 12 July. USD50 per player – USD200 per team. For those who may wish to partner with us for this event in terms of advertising and marketing – please refer to the attached communication.

Staff Development

Mid Term – Please note that pupils should be collected at 1pm on Thursday 20 June. Our hostels will be closed from 1pm on Thursday 20 June. Boarders are to return to school by 5pm on Monday 24 June. School buses are available to assist with transport for this weekend.

Lessons resume for all on Tuesday 25 June.

For those wishing to use the Harare bus service, the cost is USD55 return. Drop-offs and collections in Kwekwe ($30 return), Kadoma & Chegutu ($40 return) and Norton ($55 return) are possible by arrangement. Please reference your payment “Bus” and your child’s name. Viable numbers need to be met in order to confirm these services. Payment deadline 14 June.

Bulawayo – Hwange – Victoria Falls Based Parents:

A WhatsApp Group exists for parents located in the Bulawayo-Hwange-Victoria Falls region. If you are not on this group and you live in this area, please contact Mrs Machipisa (Parent Coordinator) – 0772 372 801. Please note that a bus service is available for the above mentioned mid-term break – bookings to be done through Mrs Machipisa.

Examination Registration Reminder – CIE Oct-Nov 2024

A reminder that the deadline for registration and payment for CIE October-November examinations is 5 July 2024. If you have not received a scanned copy of your child’s registration form please contact our Exams Department. If you have a child in Form 2, 3, 4, Lower 6 and Upper 6 – this message applies to you.

Please note that for subjects written in this 2024 May-June examination session, registration will take place after publication of results which will happen on 13 August.

Zimbabwe Schools Hockey

We would like to congratulate our two Eagles, Jadin Magwenzi and Sean Mandaza, for their selection into the U17 Zimbabwe Schools Hockey Team as non-travelling reserves. We are truly proud of them and wish them the best as they play more hockey this season.

 

Gateway U17 Tournament

We would like to congratulate the U17 Netball Team for their excellent performance at the Gateway U17 Tournament held on Saturday, the 1st of June. The girls managed to win 3 out of their 6 matches, ending the tournament in 3rd place. The girls were awarded bronze medals and special mention goes to Sherris Shoko who was awarded ‘Best Centre’ of the tournament.
