Newsflash 7/7/23

Dear Parents and Guardians,

CIE October-November Examinations:

Please note that we are unable to complete registration processes without examination payments. We ask all those who have not yet confirmed their examination payments with us to do so as a matter of urgency.

Mid-Year Examinations:

are currently under way. Please note the following:

  • Form 3s & 4s examinations end 14 July
  • Form 1, 2 & L6 examinations start 7 July and end 14 July
  • U6 examinations start 10 July and end 14 July
  • Lessons will take place up until that year group’s examinations start
  • Day scholars may be collected between 3:30-3:45pm from 3 July to 14 July or at 5pm.
  • Day scholars who do not have an examination on a day during their examination period can remain at home to study.

A reminder of the purposes associated with these examinations:

  • To be in keeping with public examination standard
  • To test overall syllabus concepts
  • To be a diagnostic tool to help guide teachers on revision strategies, especially for public examination classes.

The volume of content in the various syllabi is large and as we conclude this term and start next term, the focus for examination classes changes from syllabus coverage to revision, practice and the refining of academic skills implementation.
