Newsflash 8/9/23

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Week 1 is almost done!

Cambridge Examinations:

Please take note that for those who wrote subjects in May-June this year, today is the final deadline to return entry forms for the October-November session. These forms were sent on email. You will then receive your child’s updated Statement of Entry by end of day Wednesday 13 September.

For any queries, please contact the Examinations Department directly – exams@mcc.ac.zw / 0777 733 029

Parenting Seminar:

Project Kurarama will be with us next week. They are a non-profit organisation that plays an active role in addressing matters of substance abuse and addiction within our Zimbabwean context.

We ask all of our Gweru based parents to join us on Wednesday at 5:45pm in the MCGS Hall. This is a conversation you should not miss.

Project Kurarama will also conduct workshops with all of our classes between Tuesday and Thursday next week.

Term 3 Calendar:

Please find attached this term’s calendar for our Midlands Christian Group of Schools.

Staying Up to Date:

If you are not on our official school WhattsApp groups we encourage you to join them. They are administrator operated so only one way communication from the school occurs on the group. They exist to help with ease of access to school updates and for urgent communications when necessary. Please make use of the links to join the group/s relevant to you:

Speech Day:

Our pinnacle event which brings our school and stakeholder community together will take place at 9am on Friday 29 September. Please put this down in your diaries and plan to join us. Note that you may sign your child out for this weekend if you would like.

Upcoming Events:

Sat 9/9

  • Cricket vs Petra – All Teams @ MCC – 8am
  • Chess – Southern Region Tournament @ MCC – 9am

Reflection:

“I sought the LORD, and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to Him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed. Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!”

Psalm 34: 4-5, 8 (ESV)
