Dear Parents and Guardians,

 

Condolences: Our most sincerely condolences to our Head of the Languages Department, Mrs Munyanduki, and her daughters, Nokutenda and Ruvarashe, on the recent tragic loss of their husband-father. We pray for the Lord’s comfort for all during this hard time. 

 

May-June CIE Registration: Note that registration for this examination session closes tomorrow, Friday 9 February. For any queries please contact the Examinations Department on exams@mcc.ac.zw

 

Parents Assembly AGM: A reminder that this will take place on Thursday 16 February 2023 at 11am in the school hall. Parental attendance is strongly encouraged. 

Note that the Parents Assembly will have takeaway lunch items on sale at the end of the meeting to assist as you then travel back to your various homes. Boarder parents are reminded to sign their children out for the mid-term fixture free at this meeting.

 

Interhouse Cross Country: Will take place at 2pm on Tuesday 14 February. Parents are welcome to come and support. 

 

Mid-Term Fixture Free: Lessons end at 1pm on Thursday 16 February. Our hostels will be closed from 2pm on Thursday 16 February. Boarders are to return to hostel between 12noon and 5pm on National Youth Day – Tuesday 21 February. 

 

Mid-Term Fixture Free Harare Bus: Should you wish for your child to return on the school bus from the mid-term fixture free, please process your payment of USD40 into the school account by Friday 10 February. This fee includes a light lunch. Please reference your payment “Bus” and your child’s name and send through a copy of your proof of payment to bursar@mcc.ac.zw and reception@mcc.ac.zw. A reminder that this service is subject to viable numbers, seats are booked on confirmation of payment and all tickets are to be confirmed by us. 

 

This term we have welcomed Mrs Rutendo Mudiwa onto our staff. Not only has she come in to teach Travel and Tourism and French, she has also taken up the key leadership position of Director Ladies’ Affairs seeing to the needs and discipline of both our female students and female staff members. 

 

Dr Ivan Bachisi has also joined the leadership team as the Director of Culture and Identity and as the Acting Sports Director.
