Dear Parents and Guardians,
Further to our communication earlier this week I wish to confirm for you that there will be no physical school starting on 12 January 2021. Instead we will resume virtual classes on 12 January 2021. Lessons will be as per the normal timetable online. Individual class timetables will be sent out by Mr Sachinda and the IT department in due course.
At the end of last term we said goodbye to Mr Somerai and Miss Ndhlela. We welcome Mr Stalielson Ndlovu one of our former Eagles who joins the staff in the Science and Languages department. As a result we also have allocated new responsibilities to some of the staff members. The new roles are as follows:
IT Administrator: Mr Mashungu
TIC Spiritual formation, Camps and Form Teachers: Mrs Sibanda
TIC Counselling: Mrs Nyamondo
TIC Lifeskills: Mr S Ndlovu
TIC Health and Environment: Mrs Chakamanga
Eagle House Parent: Dr Chawira
We wish these teacher all of God’s blessing and leading as their conduct these very important duties.
We will conduct online orientation for all form 1 students and other new students on Monday 11 January from 11am to 1pm. Further details will be sent to all new students before the end of the week.
Regarding our roll out of the google classroom based virtual program we will communicate further on any changes to classes before term resumes. Any students, parents or guardians that have any questions relating to IT should send these to IT support at it@staff.mcc.ac.zw; it@mcc.ac.zw or Mr Mashungu at mashungut@mcc.ac.zw; mashungut@gmail.com .
In order to orient parents and students on the roll out of the virtual program we will have 2 meetings on Friday 8 January. The first meeting will be from 5pm to 6pm and the second will be from 6pm to 7pm. We will send the meeting links later in the week. We are running 2 meetings due to the meeting limitations in google meet.
