Give Thanks

“Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ.” 1 Thessalonians 5:8

Many times we find it easy to complain and grumble yet we have so much to be grateful for. It is a blessing to be alive, to be in good health, to have friends, family and relatives. We may go through difficult situations, but we ought to thank God because He is able to change situations for our good. Through trials and temptations, let us not lose sight of a God who is bigger than any complex circumstance we may ever find ourselves in.

At times, instead of constantly asking God to give us our desires, we ought to thank Him. He has already done it for us. We have culture as Africans where children are taught to clap their hands whenever they are in receipt of anything from their elders. This is a sign of gratitude and good manners. It is the same thing that God should get from us.

Let us approach Him with a heart full of gratitude.
